Imagine being told by doctors that you only had five months to live. At the age of 23 this became Sophia’s reality when she was told she would need a double lung transplant to survive. Hear how she dealt with that news, living with cystic fibrosis, battling mental illness, and how Breathing Becomes Effortless came to life in the first episode of season two of the BLōFISH Speakeasy.
How can you make a difference in the lives of those living with cystic fibrosis? Supporting Breathing Becomes Effortless goes a long way! In August 10% of every sale goes directly back to Sophia’s foundation. We also dropped a limited edition BREATHE. collection that is available throughout this month and is centered around the CF awareness color, purple!
Ben Sollee is originally from Lexington, KY, but now calls the city of Louisville his home. On September 12, 2018, he performed a small, intimate show in the backyard of BLōFISH Clothing's Market St. location for a group of the brand's friends and family.
The concert was more than just a reason for friends to gather, listen to his unique bluegrass take on the cello, and enjoy some craft beers from West Sixth Brewing, however. A portion of the ticket sales and t-shirts sold that evening, went to benefit BLoFISH's cause of the month, Give an Hour.
This month, we knew we wanted to give back to a cause that would help veterans, but we were struggling to find a name for the collection.
That all changed once we were introduced to Mike Hayes. I'll do my best to tell you about him, but be sure to listen to the podcast where he is our featured guest - his story is incredible and more than I can include in this blog alone.
