A Look Back - All Wrapped Up

A Look Back - All Wrapped Up

Giving back is the root of our company, and we have been doing it since our very first sale.

While still in our infancy as a company, we had an idea. Team up with some of our friends in the community and do something that makes a difference.

After some thought, we decided we could give back to the youth of our community by teaming together. With everyone contributing a little, it would add up to an even bigger impact.

And we weren't mistaken.

With the help of friends from across the Louisville (our hometown) community and an amazing place to host the event from our partners at Crossfit Covalence, we put our plan into action.  Everyone donated one box with something a child would want, need, and read we could give them out to the less fortunate youth in the community. By the time our drive was over we had over 100 boxes we gave to the youth in the community.

It's been a long, stressful, and emotion-filled week. The Kavanaugh hearings have, for many - especially survivors of sexual assault - been emotionally exhausting. The current news cycle is triggering for many survivors. Because of this, RAINN's hotline has been overflowing with calls to a point they can’t keep up, Twitter has been overflowing with both support and contempt for Dr. Ford, and most of our conversations here at BLōFISH have centered around the news cycle and how we can help.

Sarah wanted a career that allowed her to see the world but also let her be a part of something bigger than herself. This led her to the military. She chose this path with a goal to, “become something more.” Along with serving our country, Sarah explained that her reason behind joining the Maven program was “to inspire others to be themselves and not be afraid to show who they are.”
